Devil Hot Burger with Cheese

This is our version of the famous cheese burger, it includes seasoned and salted ground beef, black pepper and the delicious Hawija's Devil Hot Sauce, American cheese, sautéed onions.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Servings: 4


2 tablespoons salted butter

1/2 cup red onions finely sliced

1 pound ground beef

2 tablespoons Devil Hot Sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

8 slices of American cheese

4 hamburger bun

4 tablespoons of mayo

2 cups of shredded lettuce

1 tomato, sliced


Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the onions and sauté until tender for about three minutes. Remove the onions from the skillet and set aside. Return the skillet to the stove and preheat over medium-high heat.

Season ground beef with Hawija's Devil Hot Sauce, salt and pepper. Divide into even patties (they don't have to be perfect). Once the skillet is hot, add the patties and brown on one side until cooked to your liking. Then top each burger with two slices of cheese and continue cooking until the cheese is melted.

Meanwhile, toast, brush each piece with mayonnaise and a little more Hawija's Devil Hot Sauce, if you want more hot flavor. Place the meat, onions, lettuce and tomatoes on the loaves.
